Burnout is a state of chronic stress that results in an inability to function optimally day-to-day. While we all have stressful days here or there, burnt out individuals often feel stressed, exhausted, spread thin, and resentful much of the time. Many individuals in burnout struggle to ask for help or delegate because we operate under the expectation that we "should be able to do everything." Over time, this can spiral to feeling near constant anxiety, irritation, or an ever-present sense of overwhelm.
WHY IT MATTERS
In some cases, people in burnout inhabit a liminal space: their life is not "terrible," but neither is it meaningful, fulfilling, or balanced. In extreme cases, burnt out individuals may experience the feeling of "wanting to run away and start a whole new life someplace else." In any case, every single person deserves to have a life they truly love, not one for which they simply settle. Burnout recovery is not about creating a stress-free life; it's about curating a life that supports optimal functioning and the ability to respond appropriately in the moments where stress does occur.
HOW TO HEAL
There are a variety of ways to tackle burnout recovery, but my specialty lies in creating fluid connections between your brain and body through a combination of scientific testing and heart-centered practices. • Physical underpinnings such as leaky gut, vitamin or mineral deficiencies, chronic or underlying infections like candida or Lyme, etc., are addressed by using a functional medicine approach that is tailored specifically to your individual chemistry. We may run labs and provide you with lifestyle changes and, if needed, short courses of supplements to correct imbalances and get you back in your body.
• Coaching consists of a bespoke blend of mindset work, hypnotic techniques, and sometimes tarot. Mindset work and hypnotic techniques may involve things like values exercises, custom meditations, or personally tailored playlists. Tarot cards* can be used to help uncover mental blocks or provide direction on the best place to focus our efforts when pursuing your unique recovery path.
